Indira Altynbekova

Background

Indira holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering with a focus on environmental chemistry and new technologies from Centria University of Applied Sciences in Finland and has done an Erasmus exchange at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in analytical chemistry on the topics of bio-based metal absorbers and wastewater treatment. Then she obtained her master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies in environmental, social, and economic sustainability from UAB.

Expertise

Indira worked in gold extraction at KazakhAltyn and in the analytical development for coal analysis at the Institute of Chemical Sciences. She was also a part of the team developing sustainable insulation foams for buildings. In 2022, she joined Bax and works in the advanced materials field. She is a part of the team operating the European Lightweight Cluster Alliance, and she contributes to the Horizon Europe projects and proposals development.
