SALIENT External Advisory Board Takes Up Work

SALIENT External Advisory Board (EAB) Members

The SALIENT External Advisory Board has been successfully established and held a first kick-off meeting on 23 May 2023. Its purpose will be on the one hand an advisory role of the entire project and on the other hand serves in amplifying the dissemination and exploitation uptake to the industry.

The board consists of a wide range main car manufacturers and Automotive Tier 1 suppliers, covering many brands and makes to ensure an impartial and holistic uptake of the SALIENT solutions:

  1.     Jaguar Land Rover JLR (United Kingdom): British multinational automobile manufacturer of luxury and sport vehicles with a yearly revenue above €25 Billion. Areas of activity include mainly design, development, manufacturing and sale of Jaguar and Land Rover brand vehicles.

  2. Volvo Cars (Sweden): Swedish multinational automobile manufacturer of luxury SUVs, station wagons and sedans with a yearly revenue above €25 Billion. Similar to JLR, the brand designs, develops, manufactures and sells Volvo personal cars.

  3. Faurecia (Forvia) (France): French supplier of automotive parts (especially interiors). One third of all automobiles are equipped with Faurecia parts, including seats, exhaust systems, interior systems and decorative aspects across brands such as VW, Stellantis, Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, Ford, GM, Hyundai-Kia, JLR and BYD.

  4. Benteler (Germany): German group operating in the field of automotive technologies, steel and tube production and manufacturing. Benteler’s area of activity includes lightweight chassis and complex front-end modules, exhaust and engine systems, electro mobility solutions, mechanical engineering and lightweight protection products.

  5. Ford Otosan (Turkey): Turkish branch of Ford vehicles, which are responsible for the design, manufacturing and sales of Ford vehicles in the country with a yearly revenue above €8 Billion.

  6. Farplas A.S. (Turkey): Turkish developer, manufacturer and retailer of innovative polymer systems for the automotive industry, including customer brands such as Dacia, Ford, Hyundai, Man, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Stellantis, Toyota, Volvo, Isuzu, Tesla or Togg.
